Od/hr business partner - united kingdom, wirral, merseyside

as a key member of designated directorate/divisional leadership and management teams, the role of the od & hr business partner will be to provide strategic support and professional hr advice and od support/guidance to managers and senior leaders, supporting the respective executive director(s) and their senior managers in developing and optimising the people capacity and building capability to deliver their operational plans. this will include robust and effective workforce planning, translating the long-term business strategy and workforce strategy into directorate workforce plans.

leading on specific projects to support the transformational change processes as part of the integrated service redesign and supporting the embedding of new models of working and driving culture and behaviour change related to service improvements.

as a senior professional the od & hr business partner is expected to be largely self-managing. they will build effective relationships with directorates and divisions, including other enabling functions and staff side representatives, to influence, challenge and support service delivery, develop and implement effective od & hr strategies and monitor success. as a member of the workforce directorate, the od & hr business partner will contribute to the design, implementation and successful delivery of organisational change initiatives in support of the directorates direction, aims and outcomes.

they will monitor progress toward od & hr workforce strategic objectives within their own division / corporate areas, to develop actions to ensure strategic objectives are achieved in their area(s). monitoring hr & od kpis to advise their senior divisional managers on actions to address any kpis falling short of target.

they will utilise principles of od and change management, including specific external expertise where appropriate, to implement the strategic workforce agenda, maximise performance, support workforce planning and promote organisational efficiencies.

as an ambassador for the workforce directorate, they will seek out opportunities for the function to add value within the organisation, collaboratively driving forward od based people management approaches and initiatives, in support of strategic goals and improving performance. the od & hr business partner will work directly alongside other hr business partners as required to provide a high quality, proactive and professional expert services with an emphasis on excellence.
