Full-time graphic designer / print finisher (print shop city centre) - united kingdom, dennistoun, glasgow

we are looking for a full time graphic designer / print finisher with previous experience as a graphic designer within the print industry.

this is a fantastic opportunity to join the growing industry and to work within a local sign and print company.

duties involve:

+ manage, plan & organise the design studio, meet tight deadlines and handle multiple projects at once

+ designs for flyers, business cards, posters, vehicle graphics, signage etc

+ operate small format printers & cutters, laminator, binder ... the ideal candidate would be familiar with this however training can be provided

+ communicate with production team to keep an organised work schedule

+ reply to any customer enquiries via phone, email or walk ins

+ spend time with customers face to face to create high quality designs

+ report to manager regarding stock needed for jobs

skills:

+ this position requires someone who is innovative, creative, eager to learn and has a sharp eye for the latest trends and a very keen eye for detail.

+ excellent knowledge of adobe illustrator, photoshop & in-design - essential to set up print-ready pdf artwork with bleed & crop marks, work efficiently with large format files (file compression)

+ excellent communication skills

job type: full-time ( monday to friday )

salaries: based on experience (starts from £11 - £13)
experience: 1-2 years
the position is based in glasgow near city centre (free parking on site)
full-time employment
