Lead projects engineer / 3rd line engineer - united kingdom, bromsgrove, worcestershire
reporting to the operations manager, the lead projects engineer sits within a team of technical professionals and will work to deliver all technical projects on time and budget.
main duties:
- an infrastructure engineer who can work on secure and complex projects, assisting with the continuing development and support of multiple customers internal/cloud-based infrastructures
- you will work closely the service desk, account management and consultancy teams to successfully deliver projects to the customers bespoke requirements, which are delivered on time and budget
- provide a 3rd line escalation path for other members of the service desk
- creating procedural documentation for use by support staff
- travel to customer sites (own car required, car allowance provided)
required skills:
- strong technical expertise in installing and supporting windows server operating systems, including hyper-v virtualisation
- planning and executing an installation through to delivery
- clear communication with clients
technical expertise:
- windows server 2008r2 - 2019
- active directory
- exchange / microsoft 365
- hyper-v
- microsoft azure
- networking (switches/routers/firewall/wifi)
- vmware (desirable)
- storage architecture (incl. san)
- backup (datto desirable)
