• i am a 26 year old man with adhd, eupd (personality disorder), anxieties/mental health needs, autistic traits.
• i also have joint and back pain and am waiting for surgery for a broken shoulder currently
• my interests include natural history, wildlife, photography and film making.
• i enjoy walking biking, skateboarding, comedy shows and animation. i also like going to the gym, exercising outdoors and yoga. i am a vegetarian. i smoke occasionally. i may get a new dog in future.
• i need support and prompting with domestic tasks, shopping, managing appointments, correspondence, paying bills, ordering and collecting medication.
• support and prompting also sometimes required with personal care.
• you must be friendly, patient, reliable and have experience with working with people with mental health needs

typical duties
domestic -
supporting/prompting with:-
occasional laundry, washing and drying, putting away
weekly changing bed linen and bed making
taking out rubbish
general housework, including cleaning, dusting and vacuuming, tidying.
microwaving ready meals
occasionally helping with preparing/cooking a meal
weekly shopping including checking refrigerator/freezer and making shopping list
correspondence e.g. reading letters, help writing replies, form-filling, assisting with household paperwork
supporting with household budgeting
making phone calls
ordering and collecting prescriptions
managing medication
personal care:
reminding to take baths/wash
prompting to change clothes regularly
reminding/supervision with eating
social:
support with using public transport
helping to keep focused on developing work ideas and keeping to work plans
encouragement/reminders to develop social life

the successful applicant will be:
• have some experience with working with people with adhd and mental health needs
• able to support, encourage and motivate
• friendly and cheerful
• able to tolerate the client smoking in the work place
• comfortable with dogs
• able to speak and read english to a reasonable standard – important as you will need to help with basic correspondence
• respectful of the client’s privacy and confidentiality
• reliable with good time-keeping
• able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
• hygienic, tidy minded and well organised
• fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
