Ambitious associate dentist required private practice - united kingdom, lanark, south lanarkshire

over the last 5 years lanark dental care has transitioned from predominately nhs to mainly private. this year we are planning to move to fully private practice and are experiencing demand for treatment never previously encountered. the demand is such, that we have recently built an additional new surgery to help accommodate this demand and now we look to staff the 4th surgery. as our implant dentist focuses more on full arch cases, we are looking to re-assign the existing denplan list ideally to a new associate.

we believe in promoting full mouth dentistry in an effort to leave the single tooth approach behind in a good number of cases. we are strong supporters of minimally invasive dentistry and particular the use of composites. we undertake a broad breadth of dentistry including full arch implant retained prosthodontics, mos, periodontal surgery, invisalign and milled dentures. our restorative materials are more commonly all ceramic and rarely metal based.

we seek a new associate who has a strong desire to improve themselves and their dentistry. the ideal candidate would have completed/will be signed up to undertake a restorative course or would have attended multiple hand-on courses such as precision academy or totally composite. at lanark dental we operate as a team and converse daily about techniques and problem solving much mentorship can be gained from this arrangement.

the practice is well established in lanark high street, over many years the numerous lists have developed into an exceptionally good patient base with very few fta’s. prior approvals are virtually non-existent, and larger plans revolve around detailed examination and planning. tooth wear is the main source of larger plans for full mouth rehab. if your concerns rest with caps/cons numbers and pbc’s then this practice isn’t really for you.

as a practice we have 3 dentists and 2 hygienists. we place implants on site and share the restorative side depending on where in internal referral originates – experience is desirable but a desire to get involved is even more important to us. the practice has 4 surgeries (2 rh, 1 lh, 1 ambidextrous). equipment wise we have an itero element 2, a vatech opt/cbct, rotary endo, speed increasing hand pieces. we have an nsk surgical unit and electrosurgery machine. materials for private work are pretty much what ever is needed certainly favouring 3m, voco and coltene products. rubber dam of course. sectional matrix system. we have struamann and zimmer/biomet implant kits. we also have the luxury of a brand-new staff room/kitchen.
