orocco have been trading since 2012 and recognised as one of edinburgh’s top building firms. we have an exciting opportunity to bring on board a commercial administrator to join our existing administrative team. orocco is continually evolving and pride themselves on being leaders in the switch over to a 4-day week enhancing the work/life balance for staff. yes, you work 4 days a week (39 hours) and have every friday, saturday and sunday to yourself.

job role

dealing with telephone calls, emails and any customer enquiries
supporting accounts payable/credit control functions
daily management of emails assisting with processing of invoices data entry reconciliation of supplier & customer statements
upload supplier invoices onto accounting system xero

managing service contracts
support health and safety documentation in line with government legislation as directed by senior management
funding/grants
marketing / social media

support the business executing the marketing strategy
work with marketing team to manage brand and marketing initiatives
support brand performing market research
gathering existing resources and data for reports creation
maintain schedules for marketing initiatives
assist with social media and website content
providing project-specific administrative support
crypto and marketing trends monitoring
working on social media & email marketing campaigns / competitions
customer feedback – collection and reporting


carry out basic hr responsibilities including confidential filing
support office manager with new employee onboarding
purchasing/stock control
opening accounts for new suppliers and traders
weekly check of allocation of stock
researching industry best practice and competitor benchmarking
ordering of goods
updating and maintaining company databases

skills required

previous experience in accounting invoicing desirable.
previous experience in hr administration desirable.
highly creative, with experience of working in a fast-paced environment
you will have experience in using a range of social media channels and the ability to think about different audiences and what will engage them. you’ll be good at working both collaboratively and independently, and will enjoy problem solving in a supportive environment.
previous funding/grants experience
strong time management, organisational, and administration skills, able to prioritise workload and work to deadlines
previous relevant experience of working within an office environment
experience in data entry to a high level of accuracy
excellent attention to detail
it literate and proficient in the use of ms excel
ability to communicate effectively at all levels
numerical ability
ability to collate information from a range of sources for the mutual benefit of all parties
excellent interpersonal skills
able to work independently on small projects as well as maintain systems
team player, ability to work collaboratively
ability to show diplomacy and tact
