are you an ambitious procurement professional who wants to play a key role in supporting the development and growth of this university?

with up to £20m of annual expenditure in scope, you will help the university deliver value for money for students, while following best practice and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.

using your expertise, you will oversee all aspects of procurement, including the development of procedures, spend data analysis and category management, providing support, training and appropriate challenge to colleagues across the university.

you will be responsible for their tendering processes to ensuring that they are well-planned, compliant with the public contracts regulations and in accordance the university's financial regulations and procedures.

with your proactive approach, you will examine current supplier arrangements and data looking for ways to improve value for money. you will also provide advice and training to internal staff on the tendering, quotation and contractual processes and other procurement related topics. this will include the further development of policies and procedures and liaison with contacts around the university.

you will be supported by a procurement officer and you will be expected to foster their personal development in order to ensure that their services match their high standards of excellence.

this role is the equivalent of three days a week and offers flexibility over your working pattern.
