i am a young man with physical and learning disabilities living in my family home. i'm looking for support workers to join our small friendly team.
main responsibilities
supporting me with my favourite activities with my accessible bike, swimming, going on walks, visiting the community garden etc
to provide support within the home
to provide support to go out and about
to provide support to keep healthy, safe and well
all aspects of personal care
to provide support with communication
main skills needed
it’s important that personal assistants support in a way that works for me and my family. the following qualities and skills are considered essential when providing support.
personal assistants/support workers need to be good at:
listening, communicating, observing and sharing information
working as part of a team
using your imagination and initiative
planning and organising activities
finding out about and developing new activities
previous related experience is welcome but not essential as training and supervision is provided.
job type: part-time and full-time, a variety of daytime and evening hours.
start £10-12 per hour
