Staff accountant - united states, anderson

adecco is assisting a prominent well established commercial property management firm with their accounting offices located in anderson, california since 2000. the position requires the candidate to oversee multiple commercial properties and the financial accounting responsibilities that each property requires.

candidates are responsible to oversee functions performed by other company employees and vendors that perform monthly bank reconciliations, weekly accounts payable check runs, daily banking of tenant receipts, monthly tenant billings, and tenant sales reporting input.

other direct responsibilities include oversight and final preparation of final monthly financial report packages for each asset, work in conjunction with property management staff for annual budget preparation, annual property expense reconciliations and oversight and follow up on biannual property tax payments.  some assets require miscellaneous mortgage lender correspondence to be provided, as well as specialized excel worksheets that are currently in place.

general qualifications for employment consideration:

  • general working experience with commercial or multi-family real estate operating properties.
  • working knowledge of monthly financial operating statements for commercial assets.
  • detailed knowledge and understanding of general ledgers, journal entries, reconciliations, trial balance reports, income and expense reports, charge and billing schedules, mortgage functions, and property tax payments.
  • banking experience including wire transfers, ach processes, bank reconciliations, and deposits.
  • excel, microsoft word and yardi systems or comparable property management software experience
