lanark dental care is looking for a full time dental nurse in the market town of lanark which is situated approximately 30 mils from glasgow and 10 miles from wishaw.
to apply for the job you need to hold a valid gdc recognised qualification, and be clear for pvg, and no criminal record of any type.
the role includes all areas of general dental nursing, decontamination, radiograph processing and front desk duties. you will be taught areas of surgical nursing, implant nursing, periodontal surgery.
we want a nurse who is sociable and will integrate into the team, attitude and work ethic is more important than experience to us. if you are a bit ocd with tidiness then that is a good thing! workdays are approx. 8.45-5.45 each day but we are moving some of our hours around in a couple of months so there could be some flexibility. many agency nurses say they learn more in a day at our practice then years at others – we take time to explain dental concepts. we would like to start the employment as soon as possible but, of course understand a notice period may be required on the applicants side.
the practice is on the main high street in lanark, there is free parking available for all day parking. there are currently 4 surgeries, ldu, x-ray room, staff room with cooking facilities, 3 dentists, 2 hygienists. there are 5 nurses, but this role replaces one member who is going to an allied dental role.
