Concrete operator - united kingdom, carluke, south lanarkshire

levenseat is currently seeking a concrete operator.

as part of the minerals team, reporting to the concrete supervisor, your role will be a practical 'hands on' position. working in a busy environment, you will be responsible for the daily inspections, maintenance and housekeeping together with the day-to-day safe and efficient preparation of concrete and concrete blocks.

you will become fully aware of the company's health, safety and environmental policies and ensure they are always adhered to. you will have a flexible, proactive and versatile approach to work.

responsibilities

produce concrete and concrete blocks whilst adhering to all safety and environmental requirements as defined in the levenseat management systems and site ppc permit.to ensure all equipment and plant are checked prior to use and in safe working order.to ensure that all lifting equipment complies with loler requirements, and all certification is in date.to report any defects immediately.to ensure that records of inspections are retained and stored in line with company requirements.to produce concrete blocks that meet quality control and end of waste criteria.to liaise, as required, with supervisors and managers to ensure the efficient operation of the concrete block production area.maintain stock levels on a daily basis and understand future orders and the impact on stock levels.to focus on the customer, both internal and external, requirements.we welcome applications from candidates with any of the following skills or experience within concrete batching plants or labouring within a quarrying or construction waste environment.
