Coffee shop/cafe team member - united kingdom, dalkeith, midlothian
we are looking for an enthusiastic and fun folk to join our friendly team at lavender coffee & crumbs cafe in dalkeith.
main part of the job is serving guests- taking orders , preparing them and taking to tables. looking after the guests with high customer service skill.
the full list of duties includes:
-setting up for the opening
-preparing food & beverage orders for guest
-serving guests with high customer service skills
-maintaining high level of hygiene and cleanliness
-assisting with food prep
-basic stocktaking
-cleaning up the shop before closing
previous experience in a similar f&b establishment is essential. existing food hygenie certificate would be advantageous but not required. you must have an excellent guest attitude and high level of hygiene standards. barista skills are highly desirable but not essential as full training can be given.
this is a part time post for up to approx. 20hrs a week over 3 days (saturday & sunday inclusive, shifts are typically 7hrs between 9-5.30 [4.30 at the weekends] ). there are however opportunities for more hours/days while covering absences of other team members.moreover maternity cover starts at end of august with another two days available to take for interested candidate hence it will become a full time. starting hourly rate is £9.50
