  • type: full-time (40 hours / week) remote hybrid – 3 days onsite
  • length: 1+ years (possible extension / full time conversion)
  • pay: $54.68 /hr – weekly pay
  •  

     

    responsibilities for this payroll analyst job include, but are not limited to:

  • this payroll analyst role requires advanced knowledge and understanding of the payroll operating environment, business processes and procedures, and transaction lifecycle for a large, multi-entity, multistate company,
  • this individual is experienced in identifying, investigating and troubleshooting non-standard operational / reporting / process issues.
  • provides recommendations or escalates issues to appropriate area
  • provides regular analysis and/or reporting to support business partners, functional areas or centers of expertise
  • requires working knowledge of the functional area and/or business areas supported
  • moderate level of complexity in operational / reporting / process and/or analysis function requiring a short to medium term focus
  • may represent the group or participate on projects / initiatives and/or at meetings across the organization
  • provides training to others on best practices, processes, etc. as well as provide hands-on support in the completion of business-as-usual functions
  • resolves issues and problems by conferring with staff, management, other internal departments, outside contacts as necessary
  • works cross-functionally as required to support strategic initiatives and improve processes
  •  

     

    qualifications for this payroll analyst job:

  • experience as a payroll analyst – 5 years
  • experience with report writing and data analysis
  • ms office (specifically excel)
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • experience working in a large company (that spans across multiple states and legal entities)
  • self-starter (versed enough in payroll that they are not waiting to be told what to do next)
