residential team leader

accountable to: senior management team. registered manager and deputy manager.

responsible for: young person's support workers.

hours: shift pattern:15-hour shifts (5 shifts per fortnight) over a monday to sunday period.

days in week: monday to sunday

lunch: inclusive within working hours.

total paid hours: 37.5 hours per week

annual leave: 14 shifts per annum with bank and public holidays to be included in the calculation of the employee's paid annual leave. please note that a key requirement of your role is to work on a bank holiday.

salary range: gbp22,560 - gbp 24,960

location: waltham abbey

to provide high quality, person-centred care to our children and young people often involving an understanding of a broad range of often complex social, emotional and recreational needs.

to recognise the potential of each child and young person and to promote through actions and words the achievement of that potential.

to meet the individual care and support needs of the child and young person using the service in a way that promotes, dignity, privacy, safety and independence.

to safeguard our children and young people by way of risk assessing, protecting their holistic welfare and ensure appropriate information sharing occurs in line with lavender grove's safeguarding policy.

to ensure our residential home is a safe, welcoming environment where children can enjoy, achieve and thrive in to reach their full potential.

special conditions

this post requires the holder to do shifts over a day period which include early morning and evening work, (with potential sleep-in and waking night to cover staff absence for which an additional payment is made). the post holder also is required to work weekends as part of a rota and bank holidays.

on occasions you may be requested to change your rota at a given notice as per your contract, to ensure the contingencies of the service are covered. this may also include covering an additional sleep-in / waking night duty as an emergency measure.

in accordance with the guidelines on health and safety, to accept responsibility for working within these guidelines and reporting any concerns to the registered manager.

to undertake such other duties appropriate to the grade of the post and the needs of the home such as decorating, gardening in order to develop and maintain service delivery.
