our local authority client has a 3-month contract vacancy (with the possibility of extension) for the role of a bricklayer/plasterer details as follows
job purpose
a motivated person to join our in-house repairs team to carry out plastering works to our housing stock across the district. you will be joining a busy team which undertakes all types of maintenance / building works across a diverse range of occupied and vacant properties. ideally, we are looking for a plasterer with multi-skilled abilities such as wall tiling, floor screeding, etc to carry out plaster repairs and renewals on our planned home improvement works this includes plastering to our new kitchens and bathrooms and full house rewires. where required to be able to support in district emergencies and work across the repair and empty homes teams.
essential requirements
must have experience as a plasterer with multi-skilled abilities such as wall tiling, floor screeding, etc to carry out plaster repairs and renewals on our planned home improvement works this includes plastering to our new kitchens and bathrooms and full house rewires.
to undertake all works to the required standard in accordance to current regulations following manufacturer's instructions.
working to the required timescales.
to liaise with the asset management support team to ensure job activities are scheduled effectively.
to utilise all tools, accessories and equipment issued in an appropriate manner.
comply with all health and safety policies and procedures.
must hold a full driving license and supply own transport covered by business insurance
two references held with agency, one being the last employer
training required:
working at height
manual handling
asbestos awareness
