as a buyer you will be responsible for maintaining site inventory of raw materials, components, and supplies. you will also plan and prepare production schedules for each phase of the manufacturing operations assigned.

 

the buyer position requires candidates to:

 

place purchase orders with suppliers for the procurement of production material as required by forecast and the production schedule

place purchase orders with vendors for the procurement of non-inventoried and contractor services through ariba

monitor status of open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery of all materials, including timely resolution, communication, and mitigation of future potential problems

procurement, resolving invoice payments and receiving’s in ariba and sap using internal resources

monitors and restocks safety supplies, ppe, office supplies, and janitorial supplies

create, manage, and maintain an integrated master production schedule using various scheduling tools while satisfying customer demand while leveling work to manufacturing, optimizing inventory levels and resource utilization

 

candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered for this position:

bachelor’s degree

previous experience with ariba is preferred.

buyer experience is required

ability to maintain positive relationships

understanding of geography

 

this position does have a pay rate of $25-$30 an hour! this is a monday through friday position with the opportunity to work from home two days a week, when viable.
