play away nursery is currently recruiting a child development officer / early years practitioner to support the delivery of high-quality early learning and childcare. you will have the responsibility for the learning and development of our children through the planning, preparation, and delivery of stimulating learning experiences in line with curriculum for excellence and national practice guidance. you will provide support and care whilst promoting the development of independence, competence, and confidence to the children in our care. in addition, you will be required to effectively engage with families and education, health, and social care professionals, as and when required. applicants must possess a relevant qualification such as the hnc childhood practice at scqf level 7 (formerly hnc early education and childcare), svq social services children and young people at scqf level 7, national nursery examination board certificate (nneb), or equivalent, as required by the scottish social services council (sssc) for registration as a practitioner in the day care of children's services. this position is subject to membership of the scottish social services council (sssc) and the protection of vulnerable groups (pvg) scheme.
the nursery is open monday to friday 8am - 5.30pm for 49 weeks of the year and shifts will vary within these times
