chef de partie - key responsibilities and duties

awareness of health and safety, and to enforce a clean and food safe working environment
ensuring kitchen areas and equipment are cleaned and relevant health and hygiene procedures are followed at all times
maintaining high food quality standards. ensuring a consistently high level of food service at all times through knowledge of menu items and awareness of commodities used, costs, preparation, methods and cooking
ability to work in a fast paced and challenging environment and maintain a consistently high standard of food delivery under pressure
management and responsibility of ingredients required in your section ensuring all the correct mise en place and preparation standards are being adhered to
ensure that any anticipated shortages are communicated promptly to the head or sous chef
assisting the head chef and sous chef in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes

desirable skills

previous experience in a similar role
ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure within the team and alone
great time management, communication, and interpersonal skills
good spoken english
food safety level 2
proof of eligibility to work in the united kingdom
