Accounting clerk - united states, houston

adecco is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill an accounting clerk position. 

 

type: 40hrs/wk.  contract

start date:  within the next 1 to 2 weeks

location:  houston, tx (local candidates only)

pay: $18.68/hr

length: twelve (12) months with the possibility of extension

shift:  monday – friday 8:00am – 5pm

 

note:  this is an onsite position. no other options available.

 

**note: this client requires all associates to be fully vaccinated against covid-19**
 

responsibilities for the accounting clerk position are but not limited to:   

 

effectively process an array of client payments in a timely and accurate manner

professionally communicate with clients and their team of advisors by telephone or email

assist the bookkeeper with reconciling the clients bill pay account to make sure all payments have been presented by the vendors

review recurring invoices for each client to ensure that all bills have been paid

track other recurring payments, such as property taxes to ensure that these payments are made timely

monitor payroll

transfer funds as needed

process manual checks

assist bookkeepers and managers

communicate with team regarding important client updates

 

qualifications for this accounting clerk position:

 

at least 3 years of quickbooks experience

at least 3 years of accounts payable experience

excellent verbal and written communication skills

strong attention to detail

team player

excellent documentation skills
