outline of role:

the kitchen assistant role is to support the head chef and kitchen team and further kitchen team in the daily running of the kitchen in a busy fast pace meals on wheels company

we make 2000+ meals per week delivering across bournemouth,

key responsibilities and accountabilities:

· assist the head chef in the day to day running of the kitchen.

· assist in the production of a variety of dishes as set on the menu.

· ensure all meals are sent from the kitchen within the times required by the customer.

· ensure the kitchen is kept clean and tidy and presented to the companies h&s standards and that of the local council’s environmental health department.

· assist the head chef in stock control of food and non-food items.

· ensure the correct production guidelines are followed at all times.

· ensure inbound food goods are checked and to the required standard of the business.

requirements:

· must be engaged with the business’s goals and ambitions.

· must be keen to learn new dishes and skills.

· ability to be flexible to the needs of the business.

· must have an interest or experience in a catering career

· excellent team player.

· up to date food hygiene certificate (this can be offered internally)

· must have own transport or able to get to work
