adecco creative & marketing is recruiting for a business analyst for one of the largest fashion and retail companies! the individual in this position will be assisting the finance and supply chain teams, and must have extensive excel skills.
this contract will go through the end of september
pay rate of $45/hr
job description / primary responsibilities:
weekly activity / productivity recap reporting to dc & fc management and brands
assist month and quarter-end close including, but not limited to developing accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysis
responsible for the monthly validation and reporting of supply chain charged to all brands
assist in providing internal reporting for brands and management regarding supply chain spend, cost drivers, financial analytics, and risks/opportunities
monthly kpi, sla and financial reporting to management and brands
assist with budget and projection processes for supply chain with focus on detailing key assumptions and metrics
assist with inbound freight pay; ensuring timeliness and accuracy of carrier statements and payments to carriers
ad hoc analysis as required
required skills, experience & competencies:
bachelor's degree in finance or accounting or supply chain management
3+ years of work experience in field of accounting or finance or supply chain management with exposure to budgeting and accounting close process a plus
strong interpersonal skills and communication skills
strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to work on complex business analysis
ability to build strong cross-functional and cross-brand relationship
ability to multi-task on several processes / projects occurring simultaneously and ability to work on tasks / projects requiring attention to details
ability to work on projects using incomplete information and requiring the use of high-level assumptions
extensive microsoft excel and powerpoint skills are required
experience using access, oracle financials, sap and business intelligence tools (hyperion or microstrategy) a plus
retail or supply chain industry experience preferred, and experience with supply chain / logistics a plus
