Technical service associate iii - united states, toledo
adecco is currently hiring for a technical service representative to support ppg products being used in an automotive assembly plant environment in toledo, ohio . you will ensure our automotive coatings customer satisfaction by providing technical sales and service support to the customer on a wide range of products and application techniques. you are responsible for the effective and efficient performance of ppg products for the customer.
key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-daily activities will include monitoring systems and processes, data collection and maintenance, use of color and appearance instrumentation, paint film measurements, and initiate problem solving resolutions.
-interfacing with the customer at various levels to ensure work is meeting customer requirements and expectations.
-undertakes pre-sales and/or post-sales technical support including commissioning, installation, testing and maintenance service to customers.
-some computer work is required to complete reports and enter data.
educational or required work experience:
-high school diploma or ged, with some college chemistry, general science, or a related discipline desired.
-previous experience in a technical setting or paint application environment, with waterborne basecoat, solventborne clearcoat, powder, and electrocoat technology experience preferred. there is some flexibility with the experience.
-must be able to work in industrial environments and be able to lift ~50 lbs as needed.
-must be able to work non-standard hours to support customer schedules. ability to work weekend overtime is required. starts with 2nd shift, 10 hrs. (5 p.m. to 3 a.m.).
functional / technical skills:
-previous experience with color and topcoat application is a plus.
-works independently and is able to trouble-shoot and make decisions.
-good written and oral communication skills.
-strong computer skills, analytical skills, and attention to detail are required.
schedule:
monday-friday 5:00pm-3:00am. mandatory ot will be 10 hour shifts mondays through saturday, occasionally sundays.
this role will be 100% on site. candidate must be local.
