Kitchen porter - united kingdom, torpoint, cornwall
having recently taken over the pub in arguably the most beautiful setting this side of cornwall (and actually most of cornwall we’d like to believe) - we have some fantastic plans for the next couple of years but need the right team to bring them to life.
having recently hired a cracking new head chef - we are looking to add to our kitchen team.
we're on the hunt for 2-3 kitchen porters.
we want to try and make sure that you have a work life balance, so the more the merrier!
you won’t become a millionaire working here, but we’ll pay you well. your tips are your tips and not used to buy more forks or pay for a new car.
sure – you’ll likely earn more working for a big company and receive huge benefits and discounts at their numerous other venues (95% of which you’ll never use – been there, done that), but when we say we care about our team – we really do.
we’ll feed and water you on shift (just don’t drink the posh hot chocolate – it’s expensive – the jumbo tin of cadbury’s is yours to consume at will)
career progression for those who want it – and we definitely want those kinds of people
your birthday is the day of your birth – you’ll have it off and the day after in case you need recovery time
a cheeky takeaway on a quiet night (whilst we work as a team to write this job ad)
a cantankerous old pub dog who loves a walk on the beach mid service – but not so much other dogs in her pub. along with 2 more pub dogs who are far friendlier.
a team that works well together on shift and off.
our team is a mixture of experienced and new to the industry – we’re keen to meet people from all stages and of all ages but what we don’t want is a half job bob.
so, if after reading all of this – and something resonates – or a friend pops to your mind – get in contact or share this post with them – we’re looking forward to meeting you.
