job summary:  are you experienced in managing a team of engineers? are you skilled at implementing, controlling and optimizing industrial processes and machinery in the manufacturing industry? . 

responsibilities of the role:

  • implementation of equipment to design budget and timeline
  • lead and facilitate continuous improvement for process and equipment capabilities
  • coordinate, plan, and direct the activities of outside contractors and equipment manufacturers for major capital and/or repair projects
  • develop standard work practices, maintenance programs, etc. to maintain and improve equipment utilization and optimization
  • lead process engineering team with project based kpi methodology
  • support plant functionally to problem solve and implement kpi driven solutions
  • direct training of employees to improve work performance, safety practices and acquaint workers with company policies and procedures
  • coordinate between sites as needed for technical expertise
  • manage a team of engineering resources and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the department staff
  • carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with policies and applicable laws, including: interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems 
  • ideal candidate will have:

  • education
  • desired: bachelor's degree from accredited college or university
  • required: high school diploma with advanced training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • experience
  • 10 or more years of related supervisory experience 
  • other required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • a desire to work in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment
  • highly motivated, self-driven, and eager to learn and apply new skills
  • attentive to details and follows through on assigned tasks and commitments
  • flexible and driven to meet tight deadlines, handle multiple projects and prioritize them appropriately
  • strong organizational skills, and ability to effectively disseminate information in a clear and concise manner
  • ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, vendors and employees of the organization.
  • ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry 
  • ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
  • must be eligible to work in the united states, visa sponsorships are not available
