quality manager

responsible for quality assurance related to the production of aluminum extruded and fabricated products consistent with customer requirements, industry specifications and standards. 

essential duties of the role: 

leads the leetonia quality management system (qms) which includes iatf 16949 certification.  

responsible for corrective and preventive action processes, including customer interaction.   

responsible for internal audit program. 

uses lean tools, statistical techniques and analytical methods to achieve effective problem solving, root cause discovery and corrective action. 

assist with the development of quality objectives necessary to support key result area (kra) plans. 

leads multi-disciplinary team activities associated with advanced product quality planning. 

monitors, guides and reviews outside processors to achieve quality, service and delivery goals. 

leads all quality assurance activities associated with production and production planning. 

manages and coordinates the returned material authorization (rma) and customer complaint notification (ccn) activities with input from sales, customer service and manufacturing groups. 

ideal candidate will have: 

bachelor's degree (b. s./b. a.) in a related technical field from four-year college or university and five or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

experience with quality system management and implementation.  experience with automotive apqp. experience with statistical tools and lean manufacturing principles.
