our client is a small sized internationally established pharmaceutical company that focuses on the development, in-licensing and marketing of prescription products for the treatment of gastrointestinal diseases. they are well established in the uk and with product line extensions and new diagnostic product launches will see their sales and growth continue to rapidly expand.

they now have an exciting opportunity as a regional business manager to focus on delivering sales and adding value to their well-known gastroenterology range across primary and secondary care.

the role involves looking after a team of multi-disciplined key account managers who promote the company's products to gastroenterologists and specialist nurses, ensuring product listing on hospital formularies. key customers will include gastroenterologists, specialist ibd nurses, hospital pharmacists and acute trust personnel.

in this autonomous role will see you effectively shape and develop your team whilst supporting them in market access activities.

this role and would suit someone with proven leadership and coaching skills who has an exceptional knowledge of the ever-changing nhs across this geography.

in addition, you should have:

* the ability to communicate clear expectations and objectives and with demonstrable and credible sales success

* experience of managing budgets, performance management and fostering highly effective teamwork

* demonstrable knowledge and experience of sales management in the uk pharmaceutical industry

* demonstrable ability to produce positive engagement with external customers via either face-to-face, telephone, digital engagement, or email communication

* demonstrable experience in preparing and executing a region business plan
