Brewhouse operative - brewery - united kingdom, faversham, kent

shepherd neame are looking for a brewhouse operative to be based in faversham at our brewery. a permanent opportunity has arisen in our brewing team, reporting to the shift brewer with day to day instruction via the assistant brewers. the role involves working a mix of morning, afternoon and late shift with occasional weekend work.

duties & responsibilities:

working safely by following safety instructions, and exercising good judgement. bringing raw materials into the brewhouse, by either using the automated systems or manually.operating the brewhouse equipment to produce wort to specification by following the brew sheet.processing the wort into beer to specification using the tun room equipment and processes. sampling and testing of wort and beer at key points in production.recording of test results and batch information, on time and accurately.housekeeping in the brewhouse and related areas to a defined standard. following instructions from assistant brewers and members of the brewing and operations management team. working with engineers, lab staff and management to highlight and resolve problems.monitoring brewing processes, recording conditions and results and assisting assistant brewers and brewing management team in driving improvements
