marie curie pioneer new ways of providing care for terminally ill people, helping them to stay at home until the end of their lives. working closely with the nhs, local independent hospices, and other charities, they develop services designed around people’s needs. research shows that they successfully help more terminally ill people to remain in their homes.

in scotland the charity has more than 250 nurses working within the community and this year marie curie nurses, doctors and other healthcare professionals will care for more than 5,000 people with terminal cancer and other illnesses as well as provide support for their families. the care is provided free of charge and is available to anyone with a terminal illness.

marie curie are a passionate, committed, and diverse team of more than 4,400 staff and 12,000 volunteers, here for people living with any terminal illness, and their families. they offer expert care, guidance, and support, to help them get the most from the time they have left. due to internal promotion, they are now looking to recruit three new support relations officers to join their vibrant team. the team are essentially the first point of contact for a wide range of enquires from phone calls and emails to mailing enquiries.

as a support relations officer at marie curie, you will possess the following skills:

· communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing

· handle own workload efficiently

· be proactive and use initiative to resolve issues

· work to a high quality

· build and nurture good relationships internally and externally

· listen to and empathise with supporters and colleagues
