Graphic designer - united kingdom, burnley, lancashire

this company have an exciting opportunity for a talented and driven mid-weight designer to join their team. you will work closely with the head of creative and the strategic team to create innovative and engaging campaigns across a wide range of media.

the position

you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of client accounts from well-known local organisations through to household names. you'll assist all areas of the business so you'll be able to show off your skills in a creative and supportive environment.

digital will make up a large chunk of your workload, from web designs to social media content and presentations - anything that contributes to an effective campaign for their clients. you'll work with the team to nail any design briefs, keeping clients coming back for more.

you'll also be ready to work on print design too, taking initial concepts and creating impressive printed materials to tie in with their digital campaigns. this will cover a range of applications including brochures, leaflets and posters so you'll use your great eye for detail to make sure everything is print ready and good to go.

your responsibilities:

- working closely with and supporting the head of creative and marketing team

- delivering high quality and consistent design work

- rolling out designs across multiple applications

- working effectively with the wider team to gather briefs and pitch ideas

- confidently present your concepts to clients and the internal team

the successful candidate

ideally, you'll have around 3 year's experience under your belt and you'll be a natural creative still keen to develop your skills. they'd love to see a portfolio which shows off your passion for design in digital and print.

if you're design focused and a proper team player, you're in with a great shout.

required skills:

- confident working with photoshop, illustrator, and indesign

- a strong eye for detail, layout, and typography

- comfortable working independently and as part of a team

- a confident communicator, continually articulating your ideas clearly to people of all levels, both written and verbal

- hands on in idea creation, passionate about ideas, words, and design

desirable skills:

- motion graphics experience

- familiar with adobe after effects and premiere pro
