we are looking for a development engineer who realizes the functional concept of solutions in a project by technical detailed solutions. in addition to this, they would provide technical support and leadership to engineering projects. this role covers conceptual and detail equipment design and approval, analysis, qualification and production support including the generation and approval of associated documentation for the project delivery.

sound engineering knowledge with minimum of hnc qualification, with relevant work experience.ability to understand complex problems and apply logical methodologies to find solutions.experience in conceptual engineering.sound workshop practices.contribute to the deployment of strategic tasks and projects, as assigned.adhere to relevant processes.identify process errors and process improvement opportunities to management.identify potential quality issues or improvements to management.adhere to safety processes and guidance at all times. proactively identify opportunities for improvement in regard to safety.takes part in business improvement activities, as assigned.work closely with manufacturing for manufacturing related projectswork closely with product delivery managers for product delivery related projects.work closely with npd for npd related projects.

your responsibilities

designs and engineers the solution down to detail to satisfy the specified requirements of the customer.defines the products, components and systems to be used and their concrete characteristics.configures the components and systems of the solution according to the requirements.develops detailed solutions for the integration to ensure the interaction of the individual elements as a functioning unit.is responsible for the realization of the solution with the required functionality, prepares the design documentation.may minister the executing units (e.g. manufacturing, procurement, logistics).to produce detail equipment designs to meet project specification, and produce calculations and documentation to support the design solutions.to check and approve critical documentation including drawings, design documentation and calculations generated by members of the department.to engage in continuous improvement opportunities, support in defining the benefits for the business and facilitate the delivery.to identify, investigate and develop new technologies, new materials and processes for product enhancement and cost reduction.to investigate and resolve manufacturing and production problems.to investigate and introduce new processes for new productsto give design support for production related issues for new products.to implement production/manufacturing plans in line with client demandssupporting the maintenance team where necessary.
