Experienced support worker (ref:sologdt) - united kingdom, epping, essex

i am a mature gentleman living in my own home with my wife in the romford area. i am a proud man who has worked hard all my life, creating my own business which are still set up today. i was hardworking man and i have an extended family who are very important to me. i require 24/7 support to keep me safe. i am looking to recruit to my current team of support workers who will support me with my day-to-day living, support my emotional well-being and support with personal care.

due to the remote location candidates are preferred to have access to their own vehicle (for reference we are approx. 6 miles by car from epping, theydon bois and ongar tube stations and approx. 18 miles from chelmsford and 12 miles from harlow).

ideal candidates would be: enthusiastic, patient, have experience in supporting individuals within their own home, strong communication skills, have a caring nature, trustworthy, respectful and possesses a genuine commitment to the role. you need to be able to think on your feet and take direction from a team leader.

you will be required to assist me with all aspects of social and personal care including, nutritional needs, moving and handling procedures and administrating of medication.

previous healthcare experience essential, experience working with dementia patients would be beneficial.

we have full and part-time contracts available.

rate of pay: £11 per hour for day shifts.

flexibility of working hours is important and covering holidays, sickness as required

an excellent training package is available to ensure you are trained to the highest standards. working as part of the solo support services organisation will also give you access to a supportive company who promote person-centred practice. 5.6 weeks holiday is awarded per year as standard (pro rata for part time positions). employees are also able to join the company pension scheme after 3 months’ service, subject to the rules of the scheme, as well as our cash back health plan after completion of a successful probation period.
