huntsmill farm is a family owned wedding venue based near buckingham offering a converted barn, picturesque grounds and intimate courtyard settings for the perfect country wedding and a great place to work.

we are looking for an experienced, cleaner and facilities assistant to join the business. as part of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the guest accommodation, wedding and office spaces. your role is important as the aesthetic, cleanliness and comfort of our guests and team are vital to us.

your days will be varied with a mixture of one-off and routine tasks, no two days will be the same and you will not be bored! your exceptional attention to detail, ability to take initiative and pride in your work, will make this role a rewarding one. like us, you will want to ensure that our indoor spaces are well kept and look as beautiful as our breath-taking outdoor surroundings. this is not just a cleaning role, but a key part of our small, friendly and supportive team responsible for keeping our venue looking great.

this role is based on annualised hours (624 per year), where the amount of hours you work will vary between our peak months and quieter months. it is essential that you are able to work a minimum of 12 hours per week, across mondays, wednesdays and fridays (12pm - 4pm).

during our busy season you will be required to work more than 12 hours however this will be offset in our quieter months, when you will work less hours. to be successful in this role, it is really important that you have a flexible attitude towards your hours of work to support our operation. you will be provided with your rota a month in advance so you will always be able to plan ahead and your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year

your duties will also include:

general cleaning of designated areas to include making beds, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, emptying bins, replenishing towels, etc.
working as part of the team to turn guest accommodation around quickly and efficiently
undertaking light maintenance tasks as required
preparation of linen to be cleaned and laundered by 3rd party supplier
report on quality and maintenance issues
work as part of a wider team to upkeep the high standards of the indoor spaces
follow all health & safety regulations, policies and procedures

to succeed in this role you will:

have professional cleaning experience ideally in a similar environment (although this is not essential)
be comfortable operating and using cleaning equipment and materials safely
have good working knowledge of health & safety regulations
know how to work safely with cleaning materials and knowledge of cossh and the safe use of chemicals
be a self-starter, a great team player and methodical in your approach to work
have experience of undertaking a range of cleaning duties and knowledge of cleaning best practice
