trademark assistant job require candidates to:

  • have extensive legal experience in an international corporate environment, with knowledge of cultural differences working with external counsel, clients and third parties.
  • proficiency in microsoft office suite, specifically microsoft excel. required
  • proficiency in utilizing web-based brand monitoring systems to support corporate ip enforcement efforts. preferred.
  • knowledge and experience in domestic and international intellectual property enforcement and infringement, specifically web investigations and enforcement processes. preferred.
  • ets products/services knowledge. preferred
  • responsibilities for these jobs include but are not limited to:

  • support coordination of intellectual property-related efforts across ets, including liaising with, and tracking work-product related to, internal and external clients.
  • support and coordinate intellectual property-related workflow across ets, including liaising with internal and external clients, tracking work products, and ensuring timely handling of business-critical matters.
  • conduct high-volume evaluation of third-party english and non-english language websites including researching ownership, business relationships and client and others, domain-related litigations and redirects and weblinks.
  • update case-management and tracking systems, such as worldmark database and incopro talisman system, with current case status summary language.
  • communicate directly with website owners (drafting letters and tracking responses) to assist in bringing websites into compliance with the client's trademark informational use guidelines.
  • provide support as needed for other intellectual property (non-website) related work products and issues, including trademark-related branding reviews.
  • candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered for this job:

    education, certifications, or special licenses:
    b.a. or b.s. in a related field required

    relevant years of experience required:
    1-3 years’ experience in an international corporate setting, specifically in intellectual property (trademark and copyright) law or a closely related field.

    other requirements:

  • ability to manage multi-faceted workload and prioritize tasks independently.
  • detail-oriented excellent written and oral communication skills, adaptability, analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to work well with minimal supervision and a willingness to propose solutions and process improvements.
  • bilingual is a plus, but not required (most common language of non-english language websites: chinese).
  • software systems: microsoft office (primary), incopro talisman (primary), and/or worldmark (secondary)
  • due to covid-19 this position is hybrid, two days per week in the office in princeton, nj, and three days at home. candidate must have access to high-speed home network internet connection and proficiency working remotely, such as the use of ms teams.
  • the starting pay rate for this job is 22$-38$ per hr. remote-hybrid model.
