full time, permanent

40 hours per week, mon-thu, 8am-6pm – fridays off

salary £35,000-£45,000 per annum dependent on experience

our client provides the filling and packing of adhesives and chemicals for major global brands and retailers including 3m, henkel, wilko, araldite, ronseal, wickes, rs and bostik.

they are looking to recruit a purchasing manager on a permanent basis, to add to their team at their site based in letchworth, hertfordshire.

about the role

as purchasing manager, you will be responsible for:

purchasing / buying raw materials
establishing and managing working relationships with suppliers (many overseas – there is some potential for travel)
co-ordinating purchasing and delivery with director-led teams
managing kpis to drive improvement of price structures, quality and otif
sourcing new suppliers and new materials.

about you

ideally you will have some experience of sage 200 operating system, but this is not essential. affiliation to, and a level of cips accreditation would also be an advantage.
