we have an exciting opportunity for a conference & banqueting manager to join a fantastic food & beverage team within an exclusive golf club and leisure resort in surrey. we are looking for someone who is passionate about hospitality and will work well within our great conference & banqueting team, that can on occasion hold multiple functions, including weddings, parties, christenings etc. you will be providing guests with excellent service and a great event. this role will mainly consist of looking after the guests attending our events and weddings or using the meeting rooms.
main responsibilities:
to have an excellent knowledge of all conference and events facilities, menus, beverages and services available. this is to include the preparation and service.to meet with organisers and clients and ensure the highest standards of professionalism and customer service are achieved at all times.to direct and supervise the activities of conferences and events, ensuring all guests receive high standards of service and their needs met.to ensure conferences and events are carried out according to client contract including room layout, equipment hire, etc.to liaise with the sales department on all matters concerning the smooth operation of all functions.to ensure function sheet requirements are delivered on-time and to the highest possible standards.to arrange bookings, table plans and allocate work to team members.knowledge, skills & experience required:
