don’t miss this fantastic opportunity for a sales executive / account manager to join the sales department at our leeds office.

you will be responsible for selling in-media solutions across the shopper journey to fmcg brands for one of the uk’s top-4 grocers.

in this target-driven role, you will deliver revenue growth by seeking new media opportunities via a consultative and relationship-based sales and service approach to a selection of fmcg brands.

you will manage your own patch of clients and also be expected to onboard new prospective clients.

you will need to balance time servicing, planning and liaising whilst driving a proactive sales effort.

the role manages what can sometimes be complex, multi-phased programs that need to publish on time and on budget.

you will be aiming to provide service and results that exceed supplier expectations. you will be used to working in a fast-paced environment, making accurate client recommendations, adapting to changing priorities, achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals as well as providing support across the rest of the team when demanding workloads require additional help.

the ideal business development / sales executive will therefore need to:

seek and create new revenue opportunities primarily via the telephone, email or face-face/video meetings.
identify these new revenue opportunities using various tools and collateral such as leads from the retailer, competitors and trade press to help drive incremental opportunities.
convert these calls and leads into revenue opportunities by bringing the supplier on board to invest in the media portfolio.
build best in class media plans which deliver against supplier and the clients’ objectives.
apply all levels of sales account management and excellent client service to encourage growth, repeat business and customer satisfaction.
maintain an accurate and up to date pipeline in salesforce, ensuring booking processes are always adhered to.
work closely with senior members of the team, providing accurate updates for internal meetings and forecasting purposes.
attend internal and external meetings when required.

the ideal candidate should have:

at least 6 months experience in a sales target driven role.
experience of generating business leads and following up on sales.
confidence to make cold calls to prospective clients.
an understanding of client needs.
the ability to apply post call aftercare.
experience of delivering product or service solutions to clients.
some knowledge of salesforce or other booking systems,
an appreciation of the drive required to met targets and kpis.
a natural or developed ability to build rapport.
a drive to provide a service that exceeds customer expectations.
willingness to help out other departments at times.
