full time (part time considered)

an opportunity has arisen for an accounts assistant in a growing, forward thinking it consultancy. this opportunity is to take control of primarily the sales ledger and credit control aspect of the company's accounts department.

on a daily basis you will be assisting the operations manager with the following key responsibilities and accountabilities;

- credit control - talking to clients, collecting invoices - where this is not possible, suggesting payment plans and payment schedules

- raise invoices on xero

- managing credit terms / credit checks / credit applications and limits

- direct debit administration

- direct debit collection

- accurate raising of invoices incorporating dates and values

- customer queries

- inter departmental queries

- manage and update the sales ledger and day books

- manage and update xero, update client and account management information

- raise credit requests

required abilities

- maintaining spreadsheets including the production of graphs and liaising with different departments

- an understanding of it and technology would be preferable

- statistics will need to be kept, so a good understanding of excel is required and attention to detail will be paramount

- it would be preferable if the successful applicant was educated to degree level or has at least two years' experience in an accounts department, but this is not required

you will be a good communicator with good initiative and will be career driven with a desire to succeed bringing energy and enthusiasm to the role.

full time £18,000 - £23,000 dependent on experience. part time will reflect hours worked on pro-rata basis.
