our client a world class fabricator of custom solutions is currently seeking 2 fabricators for direct hire. this is a great opportunity for fabricators with a creative or artistic background.
the fabricator builds architectural signage and specialty items out of a variety of materials
according to specifications outlined in blueprints, paying careful attention to detail, schedule,
and quality under the supervision of a lead fabricator and/or project manager. this is a safety
sensitive position: this individual could be required to be in our fabrication shop or on site at an
installation at any time. compensation is commensurate with level of related experience.
essential duties and responsibilities (but are not limited to):
? accurately machining various materials and assembling product using an array of
processes which may include welding, riveting, screwing, nailing, and use of
adhesives
? forming various materials into a variety of shapes using hand tools, power tools, and
other equipment available
? assisting as needed in assembly and field installations
? installation of wiring, lighting, motors, or other devices to interior or exterior of
product
? maintaining a clean and organized workspace at all times
? assisting in maintenance and repair of tools and equipment
? other duties as assigned
skills/requirements:
? formal education or training in sculpture, metalwork, or similar medium preferred
? skilled use of hand and power tools
? metal fabrication experience highly desired
? ability to read blueprints/shop drawings
? general understanding of building processes
? ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and stand for long periods of time
? detail oriented, flexible and a team player
? high levels of intelligence, creativity, attention to detail and problem-solving ability
