Cnc machinist - united states, burlington (iowa)
adecco search is currently seeking experienced cnc machinists for a well-established manufacturer based in milton, vt. our client has a beautiful campus a short drive north of burlington. they've experienced tremendous growth in the last year resulting in a number of new opportunities including this one. candidates should have a solid understanding of g code and the ability to set up and run jobs with minimal supervision. our client offers an excellent medical benefits package, up to 10% 401k contribution, pto, and a $2,500 signing bonus!
shifts:
2nd: monday through friday, 1:30pm to 9:30pm
3rd: sunday evening through friday morning 9:30pm – 5:30am
pay:
2nd: $30-$37.50/hr
3rd: $33.60-$42/hr
job responsibilities:
• set up and maintain tooling
• understand specifications and the desired result by reading mechanical drawings, etc.
• translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function
• prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines
• supervise the machine while it executes the program and make any necessary adjustments to produce the desired result
• inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completely properly
• maintain equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repair
• maintains continuity among shifts by documenting and communicating any actions taken or needed
• investigate and perform root cause analysis on non-conformance and scrap events
• communicate as required with team leader, quality analyst and programming support on findings and correct dispositioning
• support process manufacturing capability studies and improvement projects
• be the primary point of contact for operations representation in manufacturing reviews
• conduct audits of manufacturing processes
qualifications:
• high school diploma or high school equivalency required
• experience in cnc machining required
• ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
• strong understanding of machine controllers (plc’s and cnc’s)
• demonstrated strong mechanical aptitude and math skills required
• ability to lift 40 lbs.
