the position

we have an exciting opportunity for a counsellor to join our busy student support and wellbeing team on a part time basis, working 22.2 hours per week on a fixed term basis until march 2023 to provide maternity cover.

you will play an essential role in the co-ordination of mental health and wellbeing support and be a key point of contact for wellbeing issues working with managers and staff to identify, coordinate, triage and deliver counselling support for students across the service.

you will also liaise with other professionals and organisations, using a range of interventions to make effective changes and enhance students' wellbeing so that they can learn to their full potential and become active citizens.
