Waiters / waitresses / bartender - united kingdom, vauxhall, london

arepa & co is an independent and highly recognised venezuelan restaurant in london and we are looking for waiters, waitresses, baristas and bartenders for the opening of our brand new restaurant in stockwell (opening 13th june). the ideal candidate will be an experienced waiter/waitress or bartender with a strong passion for customer service and proven experience. your responsibilities:

1) the usual: welcome customers, take orders, deliver food to tables, clear tables, take payment and reset tables; but we will also teach you to run the bar and prepare drinks and cocktails and we will train you up as barista and prepare and serve coffee.

2) the other bit: team members also are expected to closely follow our daily operational procedures (opening, pre-dinner service or closing, depending on the shift you are working). this includes replenishing the bar, waiting stations, cleaning and some tidying up. essentially, helping us to run the restaurant and not only serving customers.

3) the most important part: last but not least, you need to be able to follow our customer service practices and deliver friendly and engaging customer service. this means that you are expected to smile at customers, be friendly, chatty, outgoing and that you become very comfortable with our menu so that you can explain it to customers with grace, charm and enthusiasm.
