the gis technician role entails digitising road and other transport networks using open-source gis tools such as qgis as well as autocad.

strong it skills are essential in using windows / mac os machines as well as various ms products such as excel, word etc.

education or background in science / engineering / gis / geography is required with strong track record.

desired skills:

- interest and basic understanding of maps and data

- any prior experience of gis tools such as qgis or arcgis

- any prior experience of autocad with architectural or engineering drawings will be beneficial

- learning new skills regularly and growing into this role as well as individual will be encouraged
