description/purpose of position
the rn assumes the responsibility and accountability, under the direction of a cardiologist, or electro physiologist for providing safe and competent nursing care, both technically and clinically in the diagnosis, treatment and intervention of cardiac disease in accordance with manatee memorial hospital policies, procedures and philosophy. the rn also provides professional leadership and support to all healthcare team members.
demonstrates service excellence at all times. other duties as assigned.
minimum qualifications:
graduate from accredited school of nursing
bls (or obtained within 90 days of employment)
current rn licensure in florida
previous cardiac cath, electrophysiology, or invasive vascular lab experience preferred.
acls certification(or obtained within 90 days of employment)
critical care experience preferred.
