we are currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated risk management and governance officer who is ready for a new and exciting challenge to join our wider governance, risk and compliance team.
you will be a support in the first line of defence in ensuring its risk management and governance arrangements are fit for purpose. you'll also have the unique opportunity of being party to "big picture" discussions, as well as drilling down into individual policies, processes and frameworks to ensure everything works in tandem to achieve goals and objectives.
main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
risk management
to support the business areas in ensuring risk management and governance arrangements are undertaken as required
acting in an advisory capacity to help risk owners mitigate their risks for the business
managing the process of identification, assessment, resolution and escalation of identified risks through the governance structure
the opportunity to focus your risk management experience towards certain areas of the business risk universe and become an internal specialist.
governance:
supporting and engaging with key stakeholders to execute the company policy and process frameworks
managing and enhancing our governance, risk and compliance system to support the business objectives
supporting the head of risk and governance & society secretary with board arrangements and board committee governance requirements
secretarial duties for executive and management committees, including agenda setting, action-tracking, minute-taking and the co-ordination and distribution of papers
to be the successful risk management & governance officer, you will:

relevant experience isn't essential but would be advantageous.
