based in market harborough, deichmann uk, is looking to recruit an enthusiastic & motivated individual to join us as an audit assistant (retail) on an initial starting salary of gbp21,000.ideal candidate:working along side the the company internal auditor, the successful applicants primarily role will be to support and assist in ensuring the accuracy of stock records of all stores across the uk. additionally they will assist in the auditing of financial paperwork generated by stores.key activities:
* using bespoke stock systems ensure the upkeep and maintenance of stock records
* liaising with stores/dc to resolve outstanding queries relative to stock
* respond to incoming calls relative to stock discrepancies and resolve queries accordingly
* assist and support annual and mid year store stock take process by undertaking essential preparation work in conjunction with the groups audit dept (deichmann se)
* audit the accuracy of financial paperwork generated by stores and investigate discrepancies as required
* general administration associated with the audit function
* assist in other departmental activity in order to deliver on deadlines and targets
personal characteristics:
* educated to gcse a level or equivalent and/or have worked at this level
* have good it skills, microsoft office in particular excel
* have stong analytical skills complemented with a methodical approach to work and an eye for detail
* able to work to deadlines whilst maintaining attention to detail
* able to work effectively on own initiative or as part of a team
* an effective communicator both verbal and written
* flexible approach to work and able to adapt to meet changing work priorities
* motivated and enthusiastic
