we are a first-rate road transport and logistics company based waltham abbey. we are in partnership with two of the uk’s largest networks: tpn and xpo for palletised freight distribution, same-day deliveries and also offer general haulage and bespoke logistics solutions.

you would be responsible for transporting goods and deliveries to their intended destinations. duties will include planning delivery schedules and unloading deliveries.

job duties:

to manage all jobs in a timely professional way, escalating any issues to the office.
liaise politely and professionally with customers and the office.
complete daily vehicle checks
attend toolbox talks when required
report all accidents or damage, however minor, to the company immediately.
report near misses, unsafe act and unsafe conditions that he/she witnesses immediately.
ensure that you have the correct paperwork, equipment and information for the start of your shift
drive within the law and site rules and keep within working time/driving regulations for drivers taking the correct rest breaks
ensure that all lifting and manoeuvring of product is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures
operate in a safe manner complying with all health, safety and environmental requirements to ensure own and safety of others
handle any hazardous materials in an appropriate manner

skills and qualifications:

luton van and tail lift experience required
good work ethic
honest
reliable
driving license
