the production planner role requires a high aptitude for organization, planning and forward thinking. the production planner will own the value stream and is responsible for the corresponding materials needed to meet production schedules. the production planner considers all factors influencing production capabilities of the site and ensures raw materials are available to execute achievable production plans aligned with the goals of business.
responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
managing and creating production schedules to satisfy customer demand
aligning schedule with integrated business planning strategy and plant capacities
monitoring and managing supply base delivery performance
analyzing equipment down time, supplier performance, personnel levels and strategically adapt production plan as necessary
managing and analyzing raw and wip inventory levels ensuring exceptional inventory record accuracy and alignment to budgets
procuring raw material and monitor availability for production
qualifications:
four year bachelor's degree or greater. a combination of both will be considered
master production planning experience, 5 or more years
comprehensive erp systems knowledge: 5 or more years (sap preferred)
us work authorization.
apics / ascm certification (cpim or cscp)
strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate up, down and across a broad swath of peer groups.
