adecco is partnered with an extremely successful manufacturing company to hire a a skilled sustainability engineer!

job description and responsibilities

  • acts as a sustainability engineer for a manufacturing site with numerous buildings and structures you'll be responsible for energy efficiency improvements to plant steam, plant air, facility infrastructure, manufacturing processes, wastewater processing, and hvac.
  • developing site strategy and planning to achieve corporate goals of carbon neutrality by 2030 and net-zero emissions across the supply chain by 2040.
  • developing and implementing plan to reduce/eliminate natural gas consumption.
  • developing and implementing plans to shift power generation to renewable sources, including solar power
  • developing and implementing plans to use electricity more efficiently
  • working with plant management to rethink facility layout and hvac plan to reduce energy consumption
  • implements facility wide utility monitoring program
  • acting as a lead engineer for industrial wastewater processing. 
  • identifying and implementing ways to reduce energy consumption
  • working with process engineers to make energy efficiency improvements to established manufacturing processes.
  • working with plant environmental engineer to support iso 14001 goals.
  • performs other duties as may be assigned.
  • qualifications:

  • bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred
  • 3 or more years of relevant experience in sustainability or environmental engineering
  • proficiency with cad, ms office, and ms project
  • must have strong problem-solving and project management skills
  • must have strong knowledge of lean manufacturing methods and familiarity with leading2lean.
