Environmental health & safety manager - united states, nashville

adecco is partnered with an established and growing manufacturing company to hire a skilled environmental health and safety professional to lead ehs initiatives in their middle tennessee production facilities.

the environment health and safety (ehs) manager is responsible for all facility-related environmental, health and safety requirements, including developing, maintaining, updating, and communicating all related company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory compliance, recordkeeping, and reporting requirements. the ehs manager will be fundamental to guiding the facility’s ehs culture.

responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • identifying and coordinating injury prevention plans (ipp) ensuring the continuous improvement of safety in new or existing products, processes, and procedures.
  • maintaining all regulatory required programs, training, logs, records, and reports.
  • coordinating ehs training programs for upper management, supervision, hourly associates, etc.
  • performing accident investigations, identifying root cause and creating and tracking corrective action plans through implementation, preventing future reoccurrence of injury.
  • managing the return to work and light duty programs.
  • conducting risk and hazard analysis for critical positions. maintain statistical analysis of associate accidents and injuries to target specific areas for risk assessment and job hazard analysis.
  • providing monthly safety reviews and targeted compliance audits. present reports on compliance status and any corrective actions.
  • developing and facilitating ehs awareness programs, ehs events and various safety related teams.
  • organizing a central repository for all environmental data to insure ease of use by all, and availability for future reference.
  • qualifications:

  • bachelor's degree in industrial hygiene, environmental health and safety or other related field
  • 4+ years of ehs experience with at least 1 full year as a supervisor or manager of ehs personnel
  • knowledge of osha state and federal regulations
