Supply chain manager - united states, nashville
adecco's direct hire division is partnered with an amazing company to help them hire a skilled supply chain manager for their manufacturing operations in middle tennessee. they will build and maintain supplier and internal customer relationships, manage purchase orders to ensure correct costing, quantity, and delivery dates as well as measure, track, and report supply chain performance.
responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- maintaining a safe, clean work environment; correct any unsafe conditions or behaviors
- building and maintain supplier and internal customer relationships working with key stakeholders to deploy effective procurement strategies
- oversee the management of purchase orders to ensure correct costing, quantity, and delivery rates
- identifying waste and drive improvements throughout the supply chain, identifying new suppliers as needed
- working closely across operations to support production line needs and sales projections, ensure inventory control parameters are established in support of that
- providing support and documentation required to maintain iso certification
- actively participating in all aspects of hiring, orientation, training, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and scheduling; coordinate with human resources
- inspiring, motivating, and leading others in utilizing lean manufacturing tools to deliver results
qualifications:
- a bachelors degree in supply chain, operations, business management or other related discipline is strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain operations with at least 2 or more years in supervision/management
